Mauritius – Back in Action

Mauritius is back and will soon be in full swing after dropping the requirement for visitors to take a pre-travel PCR test with a negative result, as a condition of entry to the country.

As it stands, Mauritius does not require:

  •  Quarantine on arrival in Mauritius
  • Show a negative COVID-19 test result before traveling to Mauritius
  • Test on arrival in Mauritius
  • Show proof of vaccination to enter Mauritius

And Mauritius is visa free for South African passport holders!

This affordable, luxury holiday destination is opening to South African as a viable holiday destination again, post covid. And now you can even save on the testing requirements, making it a more lucrative option.

The numbers prove this. With 33 601 South African’s visiting Mauritius between January and May this year, even with Covid restrictions in place, making South African’s the third most visitors to Mauritius worldwide.

To help reduce costs further Air Mauritius has introduced direct flights from Cape Town to Mauritius on a seasonal basis toward the end of this year, scheduling two flights per week from November 16, 2022-January 15, 2023.

Air Mauritius has also scheduled extra flights from Johannesburg to meet demand over the June/July, October, and December school holidays. This means more direct flights, saving our customers more money!

Welcome back to Mauritius!
